Regulatory Impact Assessments and technical appendices
The Regulatory Impact Assessments (RIAs) set out in detail the economic evidence underlying the Government’s main proposals. They look at the costs and benefits of these policies and of alternatives, considering the impact of the whole package together and considering each group of reforms separately.
The appendices set out additional details of the main analytical tools, evidence and assumptions that have been used in developing, assessing and presenting the proposals in 'Security in retirement: towards a new pensions system' and the associated RIAs.
This document is designed to be self-contained, but it does not repeat the whole of the discussion and analysis presented in 'Security in retirement: towards a new pensions system'. Readers wishing for further details are therefore urged to read both documents.
